Yelm Community Garden
The Yelm Community Garden is an education and demonstration garden that serves as a hub for monthly workshops on topics like growing from seeds and starts, soil health, cover crops and affordable home gardening. Visitors are welcome to help themselves to vegetables as long as they leave enough for others. Some of the produce also goes to local food programs. Bounty for Families developed the project in 2021 in collaboration with Thurston Conservation District, GRuB, the City of Yelm and Yelm Community Schools, with extensive funding support from The Nisqually Tribe.
