The Annual Jazz Festival was introduced in the summer of 2017 in a partnership between the City of Yelm and local business owner, Marian Licxandru of Pizzeria La Gitana. Every August, the sweet, rhythmic sound waves of live jazz splash on the grounds of Yelm City Park. The festival brings community members out of their homes and into the ambiance of Paris to dance in the warm summer air.
