5K For the Fallen This Friday

Yelm, WAJoin us 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 24  for a community gathering and a FREE self-paced 5K run, walk, bike along the Yelm-Tenino trail in remembrance of those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. By setting aside a small portion of our day we show our gratitude and remembrance for the courage, heroism and sacrifice of the men and women who have given all.

Participants are encouraged to register on the website below so we can plan accordingly and ensure that you receive the name and brief story of a fallen soldier to honor along the trail. You can also provide the name of a fallen service member you’d like to honor on the website. To register, go to www.wearblueruntoremember.org/memorial-day and in the drop down box for “Location to Walk or Run” select “Washington, Yelm.”

wear blue: run to remember serves as a moving memorial for all those who have lost their lives protecting our freedoms and is a reminder of support for the families they’ve left behind. Whether it’s been days since they last saw their loved ones, or years, you will help us honor the most heroic men and women from this great nation and all those they left behind and for that, we are extremely grateful.
