Cochrane Memorial Park offers a beautiful spot for relaxing and enjoying some peace and quiet. This park also serves as the centerpiece of Yelm's water reclamation infrastructure. All the water in the park is reclaimed water that is infiltrated back into the ground to recharge the aquifer. Cochrane Park is available for reservation should you want to hold a wedding ceremony or birthday party!

Longmire Community Park

Longmire Community Park is the City's sports complex. Depending on the time of year, you will find baseball, football, and soccer out on it's fields. There is also a great playground for the younger kids. Area sports leagues form a stakeholders group who schedule the park for the year. Your local league may request the use of Longmire Park.  There are rules for the use of Longmire Park, designed to keep the fields playable for all.

Yelm Prairie Line Trail

Walking Trail

The Yelm Prairie Line Trail is a pedestrian pathway constructed alongside the City's Prairie Line Railroad.  The trail stretches from Yelm Avenue to the Centrailia Power Canal and connects to Thurston County's Yelm Tenino Trail, which connects with the Chehalis Western Trail, connecting Yelm with Rainier, Tenino, and Olympia.
